Em belo artigo de Amartya Sen, a relevância atual da "Teoria dos Sentimentos Morais" de Adam Smith é ressaltada. Seu argumento é, ao meu ver, plenamente compatível com o liberalismo clássico, chamado hoje em dia de libertarianismo, enquanto que anarco-capitalistas devem ter objeções. Aproximação importante, visto que Amartya Sen é considerado por muitos um social-democrata moderno.
