Alchian e Allen vão ao shopping comprar umas roupas chiques...
Aplicando o teorema de Alchian & Allen (originalmente exemplificado com maçãs...aqui descrito para o problema da moda):
The theorem states that as a fixed cost is added to the price of two products, the more expensive product becomes cheaper relative to the less expensive product. Well-dressed people tend to have higher incomes, and place a higher value on their time. Thus, adding the "fixed" high cost of time to the price of dinner, a more expensive high-quality meal becomes cheaper relative to a less expensive, low-quality meal.
